Amur Maple Tree

Amur Maple is a small tree that is best known for its magnificent display of radiant fall colour. Its glossy, rich green leaves of three lobes turn brilliant orange to red in autumn with clusters of dainty pale-yellow fragrant flowers scattered among its branches in the spring season. It also produces showy red samaras(fruit) in addition to red fall leaf colour.

Amur Maple is usually grown as a small, multi-stemmed specimen tree but has recently gained popularity as a bonsai. This small deciduous maple prefers moist, well-drained soils and is moderately drought tolerant growing best under full sun or partial shade. These are suitable to be grown in tropical, subtropical, and temperate regions. Amur Maple makes an excellent, uniform shade tree useful in small landscapes, borders, masses, and even farmstead windbreaks.
