Bishop's Cap Cactus (Astrophytum Myriostigma)
The cactus Astrophytum myriostigma is native to the northern region of Mexico. This succulent plant is ideal for xeriscaping or container gardening because it requires little water and soil. Astrophytum plants propagate from stem cuttings in late fall, when they are fully mature, during their dormant period, which lasts from October to March.
A mature Astrophytum Myriostigma stem can reach a height of 23′′ – 39′′ inches and a diameter of roughly 8′′ inches.
Bishop's Cap has a moderate growth rate and takes a long time to mature and produce blossoms.
These are 5-year-old and 3-6 inches of height at the time of delivery.
