Bred by Gareth Fryer in the United Kingdom and introduced in 2009, this variety has garnered attention for its aesthetic appeal and robust performance in gardens.

Plant Description

'Champagne Celebration' is an upright, deciduous shrub reaching approximately 80 cm in height. It features thorny stems adorned with dark green, glossy, pinnate leaves composed of ovate, toothed leaflets. During the blooming season, it produces clusters of large, double flowers with 17-25 petals, exhibiting a high-centered bloom form. The flowers are predominantly cream-colored, often described as champagne-hued, and emit a moderate, pleasing fragrance.

Flowering and Fragrance

This rose variety is known for its repeat flowering from late spring through autumn, providing continuous visual interest in the garden. The blooms are not only visually appealing but also moderately scented, adding olfactory delight to their aesthetic charm.

Cultivation and Care

'Champagne Celebration' thrives in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Regular watering and fertilization during the growing season promote optimal growth and flowering. Pruning should be conducted in early spring to remove dead or weak stems, encouraging vigorous new growth. The plant's compact size makes it suitable for borders, mixed plantings, and container cultivation.
