Weeping Willow
The Weeping Willow (Salix babylonica) is a graceful and refined variety native to dry areas of northern China. Known for its open crown of ground-sweeping branches, Weeping Willow is ideal for those who want a focal point on a lawn, where it will provide welcome shade under its canopy on a sunny day. The Weeping Willow does well near a large pond or stream, or in a damp part of the garden. Prune in February/March triggering will sprout new branches, and will give the tree more vigour. Any risk of disease will become more and more remote, as your weeping willow grows denser and more vigorous.
Weeping Willow is admired for its absolutely magnificent leaves. Keeping them in full sun and partial shade are best for this tree, meaning it prefers a minimum of four hours of direct, unfiltered sunlight each day. The weeping willow grows well in acidic, alkaline, loamy, moist, rich, sandy, well-drained and clay soils. It grows well near water but has some drought tolerance.
These roses are 2-4 ft. in height and 2-3 yrs at the time of delivery.
