Abraham Darby Rose | English Shrub Rose
An old-fashioned rose, ‘Abraham Darby’ is a rich fragrant rose with many large, spectacular flowers in a classic quartered form in an apricot pink colour that varies with climate and age. Wide 5" cup-shaped flowers in rich shades of apricot pink with gold accents bloom on a well-rounded, robust shrub with glossy green foliage. The cupped flowers have up to 70 petals and an average diameter of 11 cm (4.3 in). They have a powerful, fruity fragrance with a refreshing sharpness, grow in small clusters, and bloom profusely during the season while being disease resistant. Abraham Darby is suited to be trained as a climber as the very heavy flowers have a tendency to bow their heads.
