I am writing this review on 25 aug 2025 , I recieved a generous gardener plant on 11 aug ,packaging was very nice ,but at that time almost complete roots where black , I diped it in diluted fungicide solution for 2 minutes ,and i hoped it will restore it self ,then i planted it on same day , on 13 august I saw new shoots coming ,on 2 stem but rest 2 where dormant , then by 18 aug one of the dormant stem got yellow and black at the tip , I immediately prunes it , then leaves of the healthy srem stated wekening and shedding ,yesterday I prund half of the remaining one dormant stem , and currently I am trying my best to revive the plant .

While ordering from Mainaam, i was a little worried cause major temperature difference between Sikkim and Kolkata and this is April and its 38 Degrees here. Well the plants survived! I get a big Smile on my face every time I see my Generous Gardener Rose bloom . It has a mild sweet smell which is more evident in the mornings than in the evenings . I had fertilised the plant with bone meal a month and half ago and I got 5 blooms this year . It is such a delicate beauty ! A must have for rose lovers

Though the plant size was small than expected but it was in good condition maybe because of the packaging. The root was wrapped in moist cocopeat, and it has finally started to produce new leaf. Cannot wait for the flower.

This is my third purchase from Mainaam Garden, what more can I say, the guys deliver the best rose plants and that to the climbing roses, I ordered the generous gardener climbing rose of 1-2ft from them, this plant being a David Austin Rose is a very rare find in India, the plant was delivered in good condition at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, currently the plant has been planted in ground, and yes new leaves have arrived, the duration of arrival of new leaves was within 4 days from the day the plant was planted in ground. Mainaam Garden marvel in all three categories, that are great plants, with good packaging and on time delivery. This plant was also delivered to me within 7 days from date of dispatch. Well now after buying the generous gardener rose, I have no space to plant a new rose climbing plant sadly after it, but will certainly buy from Mainaam again as soon as I get a place, thank you team.

Though the plant is smaller than expected but it didn't dry out even though the delivery was late, because of packaging I believe. The root was covered with moist coco peat so It was fine.
I cannot wait for the plant to grow new leafs and flowers.

It’s been wonderful experience to own very first David Austin Rose. A search for DA roses within India ended up with Maainaam Garden.
The plant was delivered in perfect condition within specified delivery time. It was healthy ,once repotted, quickly started off without much hassle.
After about a month it showed up three blooms. Blooms were fragrant leaning towards stronger fragrance side. The aspects where I wanted something more from these blooms are 1. Size ( small about 2”instead of big 4-5”); 2. Petals count ( 10-15 count instead of full bloom of +40 counts); 3. Duration of period of bloom ( a day)
These are beyond my control as theyappear to relate to growing conditions. The conditions are hot, humid at present here affecting adversely.
Overall it was nice experience. Maainaam garden is good place to start with DA ROSES. Local growing conditions would determine overall outcome so be informed, keep expectations accordingly. Hopefully would get better blooms as plant will acclimatise with the weather here.Thanks

Received own root plant without leaves... The plant quickly established itself to the new environment... This is the first flower... Clour is almost white with a touch of yellow, probably due to weather and soil... Plant has good disease resistance, flower has a slight fragrance... I ourchase this plant bcoz mainaam garden only have option to get on roots plants. Rightnow no one provides own root plants. Price us some higher but plant quality and service is best if anything happens during shipping they replace plant if query is genuine.

I ordered this on the 29th of October and received it on the 13th of November. The delivery was delayed by a more than a week by blue dart and as you can see in the first picture the plant arrived in a terribly stressed condition, but kudos to Mainaam for such sturdy plants as you can see in the second picture, with a little care the plant has sprung back to life and is doing really well (the 2nd picture was taken this morning) . Will update when it starts to bloom.

Received a healthy looking plant of about 2 feet. And about a month later it bloomed. Overall I am happy. the flower bud initially had some pink hue, on fully opening is a pale white flower. As per description generous gardener should be pale pink in colour. That's why I am thinking weather it's really a "TGG" rose.?? I guess it's due to weather , soil etc. The flower is fragrant though. The packaging is top notch.

This was my first David Austin rose purchased. The plant was received bare root, big size about 4ft in height, stem thickness was great about a cm. The rose was own root not grafted one. I was worried that plant will not survive the scorching heat of 43 degree in Delhi but plant established well and new shoots coming after 5 days. I have not seen such a excellent quality plant so far. Overall experience was excellent. Keep it up.
