Grimaldi | Floribunda Rose

Bred by Georges Delbard (1905-1999) (France, 1990). Grimaldi is a well-known member of the Delbard Painters Collections (others in this series are Henri Matisse, Paul Cezanne, Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Edgar Degas, Maurice Utrillo and Camille Pissarro). With its salmon pink with splashes of pale pink and cream flowers, it's no surprise!
The Grimaldi™ Rose has quite the history, In 1997, the Principality of Monaco celebrated the 700 years of the reign of the Grimaldi dynasty and it was hand-selected by the Late Prince Rainier III Of Monaco as his family rose. Grimaldi is a typical floribunda rose that can reach 1.2m in height. It has double flowers that are produced in small clusters. The large flowers are salmon in color with light pink stripes. They have a light lemon and rose fragrance. The flowering cycle continues throughout the season.
The foliage is medium-dark green and disease resistant. It has a good shape, and when planted in a group of three, Grimaldi makes a truly stunning spectacle on a massively healthy, robust rose that grows to 1.5 x 1.5 feet. Striped roses are not for everyone, but more have been released in recent years, and the color combinations can be striking. Something other than another pink rose.
If you want a bright striped rose for your garden, Grimaldi is definitely recommended.
