Munstead Wood I English Shrub Rose
Bred By David Austin in 2007 as Munstead Wood, this English Old shrub rose is a perfect choice for the bed and borders and will happily grow in containers to give you a dreamy feel. Rosa 'Munstead Wood' is an excellent disease resistant and has a bushy, spreading habit. The young red-bronze leaves mature to a mid-green colour with blooms that are crimson in the bud, opening to large cups in rich blackcurrant shades.
Named after the home of Gertrude Jekyll in Surrey, England, the Munstead Wood Rose is a repeat flowering rose with a strong Old Rose fragrance with warm, fruity notes of blackberry, blueberry and damson. Grow in full sun to partial shade in heavy, nutrient-rich soil for maximum results. Mulch with well-rotted manure or compost once a year.
